• Theresa volunteers as a trainer for Next Steps to Employment, a program to help those affected by homelessness or addiction break through their barriers to get back into work.

• Having taught at Royal Roads University for years, Theresa now volunteers to speak to the students about how to be successful in hospitality.

• Theresa has been volunteering at Our Place since moving to Canada in 2008. Serving lunches with Fairmont Empress, Swans Hotel, Hotel Association of Greater Victoria and SKAL.

• As a member of the Victoria Executive Management Club, Theresa serves this 56-year-old club as President.

• Theresa volunteers her time mock interviewing students each year at University of Victoria’s School of Business to prepare them for the working world.

• To prepare students for careers in hospitality, Theresa volunteers her time to speak to students of Camosun College.

• Theresa is a member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, the International Association of Gastronomy.

Inspired Victoria has hosted Theresa several times as a guest speaker, sharing anecdotes and best practices from her life to inspire others.

• Theresa is a proud member of Vix Chix, an informal, unpretentious, fun group of phenomenal female leaders who gather to share ideas, speak confidentially and build relationships over wine at new venues around Victoria.
