- Theresa has been a Director on Destination Greater Victoria's Board of Directors since 2020, a role she cherishes
- Theresa is a member of Skål International which connects her with travel and tourism professionals around the world to share ideas, foster collaboration, and champion a strong global hospitality community
- As a member of the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce, Theresa supports an organization that works alongside nearly 1,400 businesses to build good business and a great community for all through connection, advocacy, and shared leadership
- Having taught at Royal Roads University for some years, Theresa volunteers to speak to the students about how to successfully transition into the hospitality workforce
- To prepare students for careers in hospitality, Theresa volunteers her time to speak to students at Camosun College
- Theresa volunteered for years at Our WorkPlace assisting those affected by homelessness or addiction to break through their barriers and get back into the workplace
- Each year, Theresa volunteers by performing mock interviews for students at University of Victoria’s School of Business to prepare them for the working world
- Inspired Victoria has hosted Theresa several times as a guest speaker, sharing anecdotes and best practices from her life
to inspire others - Theresa has been volunteering at Our Place, Homeless Shelter since moving to Canada in 2008. Serving lunches with Fairmont Empress, Swans Hotel, and the Hotel Association of Greater Victoria
- Bread & Butter Collective is a peer-driven collective aimed at providing resources and tools to hospitality-based business owners in B.C. that Theresa proudly supports as a member
- Theresa is a member of WORTH Association, dedicated to advancing women in the recreation, tourism, and hospitality industries. She graciously accepted the nomination to be a mentor in the Mentorship Program and enjoys working with her mentees to help them navigate their career, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals
- As a member of the WOLF Pack, Theresa provides support by creating a safe space for women owners, leaders and founders to share wisdom and experiences, helping to guide and challenge one another
- Theresa is a proud member of Vix Chix, an informal, unpretentious, fun group of phenomenal female leaders who gather to share ideas, speak confidentially, and build relationships over wine at new venues around Victoria
